Dr. Mustafa Unal has been elected to the prestigious The European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) Academy. Dr. Unal is now part of the distinguished group of young researchers who are strengthening and shaping the future of musculoskeletal research in Europe and beyond! Dr. Mustafa Unal is the first-ever member of the ECTS Academy from Turkey and represents bone research in Turkey at the Academy.  Five new members were selected to the ECTS Academy this year.

The ECTS Academy has been founded as a daughter society of the ECTS. The concept follows the model of interdisciplinary Young Academies: young researchers self-organize their society to foster personal contact and networking among the most talented young scientists.

The ECTS Academy represents the most talented young researchers and clinicians in the musculoskeletal field in Europe and is aimed at strengthening the future of musculoskeletal research by attracting top scientists and assisting them in setting up their research network.

Scientific excellence and cooperative engagement for advancing musculoskeletal research are key requirements for being elected to the membership.
