Dr. Mustafa Unal has been selected as the Ambassador of Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS) in Turkey.  Dr. Unal will be serving as the ORS Ambassador between 2021 and 2023.

The ORS Ambassadors Program was launched in 2016 with the mission of facilitating networking, career development, and collaboration through a variety of unique programs at the local/regional level to strengthen the ORS community and musculoskeletal science on a global level.

ORS Ambassadors play a critical role in helping the society achieve its mission of advancing musculoskeletal research worldwide. They are dynamic leaders who represent the ORS in their state, region, or country. ORS Ambassadors facilitate networking, professional development, and collaboration.

Dr. Unal has become the first-ever ORS Ambassador in a none-English speaking country. During two years of his appointment, Dr. Unal is planning to organize regional symposiums, networking, and seminar events to bring together all the orthopaedic researchers from different disciplines in Turkey. He is planning to promote orthopedic research among new trainees in Turkey with career and networking events. He will also work on increasing the representation of Turkish orthopaedic/musculoskeletal researchers in the ORS.
